Volume 1: Beginnings
This latest podcast from ZIMCO Entertainment focuses on the life
and times of The Celtic Ray Public House owner, landlord, host,
story teller, salesman, decorator, painter, poet, purveyor,
everyone's friend, joke telling maestro and "Daddy", the publican
Kevin Doyle.
If you've ever made your way to Punta Gorda, Florida, it's a must
to tip a perfectly poured pint, enjoy an authentic made from
scratch meal, listen to some live entertainment and converse with
friends old and new at The Celtic Ray Public House. Therein you'll
find the landlord & host, usually holding a freshly poured
Guinness, moving about his "house", often greeting and sharing a
story with guests, telling a joke or two and generally looking
after his living, breathing, ever expanding and changing life's
master work. The pub is in it's 24th year--a minor miracle--and
it's been done by the will of this man and a dedicated army of
family, valued workers, friends and fiercely loyal patrons.
Many people call Kevin a friend and the joke at the pub goes "I
know Kevin!" I have been blessed for 7-years to know him and he's
allowing me to record his memories in his own voice.
Come along for the journey to listen about the life and times,
memories, stories, talk & appreciation of music, food, history and
all things possible from the mind of Kevin Doyle.
In this volume: We begin with some recent news and information in
this new era of global pandemic and then look back at growing up
Irish in England in the 1950's & 60's.
